Who we are
Coopers Recipe (coopersrecipe.com) is a project of Sacred Soul Farm, based in Naples, Florida. We're responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at spiritsker@gmail.com.
The short version
We collect only what we need to sell you the book and answer your messages. We don't sell your information, we don't use advertising trackers, and we don't send you marketing emails unless you've asked for them.
What we collect
When you buy the book. Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email address, card details and billing country or postcode. We receive your name, email address, the amount paid and the date. We never see or store your full card number.
When you use the contact form. We receive your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.
When you visit the site. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time. This is used to keep the site running and secure. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, and the site itself doesn't set any cookies.
How we use it
- To process your payment and deliver the book, including emailing you your download link.
- To let you download the book again within 60 days of buying it.
- To reply to your messages and help if something goes wrong with your purchase.
- To keep records of sales, as the law requires for tax and accounting.
- To protect the site and our customers from fraud and abuse.
We rely on these purposes being necessary to fulfil your order, to answer you when you ask us something, and to meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We use a few trusted services to run the site. Each one only gets the information it needs, and each has its own privacy policy:
- Stripe processes payments (stripe.com/privacy). Checkout takes place on Stripe's own secure page, which may set its own cookies for security and fraud prevention.
- Resend sends our emails: your download link, our sale notice and contact-form messages (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy).
- Vercel hosts the site and keeps the technical logs described above (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy).
- Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces, so your browser contacts Google's servers, which see your IP address (policies.google.com/privacy).
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Links to Facebook and other sites take you to services we don't control. Their own privacy policies apply there.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is usually up to seven years. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as we need them to help you, then deleted. Hosting logs are kept for a short period set by our host.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection, payments are handled by Stripe, and download links are checked against your paid order before the file is sent. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, unless we have to keep it for legal reasons such as tax records. Depending on where you live (for example California, or the UK and European Union), you may have further rights, including the right to object to how we use your information or to complain to your local data protection authority. Just email spiritsker@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for asking.
We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we don't respond to "Do Not Track" signals because we don't track you across sites.
Children
This site is written for parents and caregivers. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
International visitors
We're based in the United States, and the services we use may store information in the US and other countries. By using the site, you understand your information will be processed there.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
